As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with CRPO (the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), Zoe Liu is passionate about supporting adult individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges with both resilience and growth. Her journey as both an international student and a first-generation immigrant has given her a deep understanding of the pressures, cultural adjustments, and identity questions that many young adults face. These experiences help her relate to her clients’ experiences and approach therapy with empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental stance.

In addition to her personal experiences, she has spent years serving in church communities and campus ministry, witnessing the real-life struggles and triumphs of individuals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences shaped her belief that healing involves both emotional and spiritual growth, and they allow her to integrate Biblical principles into therapy in a way that is clinically sound, compassionate, and respectful of each client’s values.

Zoe is passionate to work with adult individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as:

  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Academic or workplace stress
  • Relational difficulties
  • Major life transitions

She has a special passion for supporting young adults, drawing on her own experiences as both an international student and a first-generation immigrant. She resonates deeply with the pressures, identity questions, cultural adaptation, and relational challenges that many young adults face.

Clinical Approach to Therapy

Her practice is client-centered, integrative, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental. She emphasizes:

  • Compassion and empathy – creating a validating environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences
  • Collaboration – working together to identify meaningful goals and strategies
  • Safety and empowerment – fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and self-efficacy

For clients who desire, she integrates Biblical principles in a way that aligns with their values and therapeutic goals. Her years of service in church and campus ministry have shaped her approach, allowing her to provide spiritually sensitive, non-judgmental, and clinically informed care.

Clients choose to work with Zoe because they feel heard, validated, and fully supported in a safe, collaborative space. She is present and attentive, offering consistent emotional support while guiding clients through their challenges. Working with her provides:

  • A non-judgmental, compassionate environment where clients can explore emotions, thoughts, and experiences openly
  • Practical tools and strategies to manage anxiety, depression, grief, relational challenges, and life transitions
  • Support for young adults navigating academic, cultural, and identity-related transitions, informed by her own experiences as an international student and first-generation immigrant
  • The option to integrate spiritual or personal values in therapy without compromising clinical integrity
  • Guidance to build resilience, self-understanding, and personal growth, with the assurance that you are fully seen and validated throughout the process
